We get asked a lot about how fog cannons work and are they safe so we’ve put together a list of our most frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions you’re wanting answers to, please email us at INFO@BONLINETECH.NZ and we’d be happy to help.
What does a fog cannon do?
Converts harmless fluid into a dense disorientating fog.
Intruders cannot argue with anti-intrusion Fog, it simply eliminates the ability to wreak the havoc they intended.
While instantly converting harmless fluid into a dense disorientating fog when an unattended property is invaded, or at the press of a button it can shroud innocent bystanders creating an opportunity for escape while intruder attention is diverted to the Fog rapidly enveloping them.
The innovative liquid formula developed by UR Fog with a high percentage of glycol ensures a dense fog that is totally impenetrable. The fog produced is, by far, the densest of all those produced by the various fogging systems on the market thanks to the composition of the fog liquid and the exclusive deployment technology.
Why do you need a fog cannon? Is an alarm system not enough?
Speed and density make a difference. Fog Systems provide instant security protection.
Alarm systems can just inform you about the theft but cannot help to avoid it. The thieves take less than 3 minutes to commit a crime as they usually know where to go and what to steal. The police need at least 15 minutes to reach the place.
A FOGGING SYSTEM BECOMES ESSENTIAL TO PREVENT THEFT AND TO SAFEGUARD YOUR PROPERTY.
In just a few seconds you obtain zero visibility and inability to act, avoiding other possible damage inside the property.
Is the fog harmful?
No, the dense security fog is quite harmless. The fog can be compared to “disco smoke”. It’s safe for humans, animals and surroundings including computers.
UR FOG fogging systems are manufactured in Europe to the highest standard. Fog fluid is not dangerous for people and animals and does not leave a residue.
How does the fog cannon activate?
Ajax Ready UR Fog systems are compatible with all Ajax alarm systems and can be activated by 3 modes – By motion detection, alarm visual verification or anti-robbery panic button activation. Any Ajax sensor can be programmed to automatically trigger the Fogging system to activate. The Ajax panic button, remote or App can be used to trigger the Fog system manually or the Ajax MotionCam can deliver a series of photos to your phone quickly to give you or your monitoring company the ability to assess the situation (visual verification) before Fog is deployed.
Are fog cannons just for businesses/retail premises?
There is no reason a fog cannon can not be installed in any property, however majority of installs are for retail/commercial premises.
Does it require any safety testing?
The UR Fog System does not require regular control testing. With unrivalled fog emission speed and density the UR Fog system has a patented pump system that does not require regular control testing yet carries a standard of reliability reflected by the 10 year warranty for this part of the system.
What warranty does the system come with?
10 year warranty
